Launch Your Career in Technology

Every app, website, payment, and digital service relies on technology running smoothly behind the scenes.

When something goes wrong, Production Support Engineers are the people who investigate the issue, restore service, and help prevent it from happening again.

If you’re curious, analytical, and enjoy solving problems, this is an opportunity to build hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Linux, automation, databases, and large-scale enterprise systems from day one.

What Is Production Support?

Production Support Engineers keep business-critical applications running reliably in live environments.

Think of it this way:

Software Engineers build the platform.

QA Engineers test the platform.

Production Support Engineers keep the platform running when it matters most.

Working at the intersection of technology and business, you’ll troubleshoot issues, automate processes, and help improve the reliability and performance of systems used by thousands, or even millions, of people every day.

If you enjoy solving puzzles, working under pressure, and understanding how large-scale systems work, this could be the perfect place to start your career.

What You’ll Do

As part of a global production engineering team, you’ll:

  • Help support large-scale applications and platforms used by leading organizations around the world.
  • Monitor business-critical applications and services to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents across applications, infrastructure, databases, and cloud environments.
  • Analyse logs, alerts, and system metrics to identify root causes and prevent recurring issues.
  • Partner with software engineers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to improve system reliability and resilience.
  • Develop automation and scripting solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support software releases, change management activities, and disaster recovery exercises.
  • Participate in incident response and escalation processes during critical outages.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical documentation.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for curious problem solvers who enjoy technology and want to build a career in engineering, operations, cloud infrastructure, or site reliability.

Ideally you’ll have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM-related discipline.
  • A GPA of 2.75 or above.
  • A desire to understand, troubleshoot, and improve complex technology systems, with a strong interest in cloud infrastructure, automation, production engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Foundational Linux or Unix knowledge and a desire to develop strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as Python, Bash, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with relational databases.
  • An interest in distributed systems, cloud computing, networking, and modern technology platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A growth mindset, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • The right to work without requiring visa sponsorship.

Training & Development

Before joining your client assignment, you’ll complete hands-on training designed to prepare you for supporting enterprise-scale applications from day one.

Training covers:

  • Linux & Automation
  • Python Development
  • SQL & Databases
  • Monitoring & Observability
  • Git & Collaborative Development
  • ITSM & Incident Management
  • Production Engineering Fundamentals

Why Join mthree?

Production Support is one of the most underrated entry points into technology.

You’ll learn how applications, cloud platforms, databases, networks, and infrastructure work together while developing the troubleshooting and analytical skills that top engineering teams rely on every day.

At mthree, you’ll:

  • Receive industry-focused training before your placement begins.
  • Work with global organizations and enterprise-scale technology platforms.
  • Gain hands-on experience supporting systems used by thousands or millions of users.
  • Develop highly transferable skills in cloud, automation, reliability, and operations.
