MGISS are a leading, UK-based, independent Geospatial company that provides integrated solutions to a wide range of industries from utility and infrastructure sectors to environment and government.

As part of our growth plans, we are looking for a curious, organised, and self-motivated Marketing Executive.

Based in our office in Liverpool, reporting to the Marketing Manager, working with our sales / professional services team and our existing marketing and co-marketing resources, you will help execute the marketing plan to promote the company’s products and services in utilities, infrastructure and environmental markets. This is a graduate-level opportunity: you don’t need years of marketing experience, but you do need a genuine interest in marketing, a methodical approach, and the confidence to learn our business, our tools, and our industry quickly. Support will be provided, with responsibilities building progressively over your first six to eight months.

This exciting role provides an opportunity to define your career in an exciting, fast-paced, ambitious, inclusive, and positive culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the marketing and communications function to help deliver growth.
  • Ensure the effective use of our HubSpot Sales and Marketing Automation platform, helping maintain accurate data and customer communications.
  • Support CRM database cleaning and hygiene and help set up and use AI tools for tasks such as prospecting and identifying customers showing buying intent.
  • Contribute to maintaining a strong brand image, delivering consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels, helping to build a brand following.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on campaigns and marketing projects with a focus on lead generation.
  • Add and manage leads within HubSpot and report on lead status, supporting cold outreach to prospects identified through HubSpot Signals and AI-assisted tools.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to manage the digital estate, including web, social media, SEO content development, technical standards, on-page optimisations and outreach campaigns.
  • Coordinate social media and blog posts and manage the calendar.
  • Write blog content to support our SEO and AEO (AI/answer engine optimisation) efforts, and set up and manage monthly email content, including communications to our top accounts.
  • Research and conduct interviews with our team and customers to write customer case studies, following our established format.
  • Create creative assets for online/offline campaigns.
  • Create simple branded video content for TV screens and social media using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Clipchamp or Adobe Premiere.
  • Assist with event organisation, and attend events to welcome customers, support demos, and capture photos and simple video content.
  • Carry out market research.
  • Management of promotional merchandise and clothing.

Essential skills and experience

  • Excellent organisational, planning and coordinating skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong written communication skills, and a methodical, detail-oriented approach to research and writing (e.g. case studies, blog content).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with minimum supervision and tight deadlines.
  • Confident using social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, with an interest in growing a professional B2B presence.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Market Research skills.
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience with video editing tools, WordPress, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, or HubSpot CRM.
  • Familiar with Google Analytics, Search Console, O365 Word and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, etc, and enthusiasm for learning new AI-powered marketing and sales tools as we expand our use of them.
  • B2B Marketing Experience.
  • Knowledge of either Geospatial or GIS marketing to Utility, Construction, and AEC industries
  • Any placement, internship, freelance, or university project experience in a marketing, content, or communications role.
