Job Title: Sports Management & Marketing Intern

Location: Powerballers Athletic Facility – [Bethlehem, PA]

Position Type: Internship (Part-time/Seasonal)

Reports To: General Manager / Director of PAC Operations and Events

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-energy, versatile intern to join our front office. The position will be on the front lines of our daily operations—helping manage our event logistics, executing marketing campaigns, driving facility sales, and capturing all we do on and off the field for social media.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media & Content Creation

  • Capture the Action: Film and edit high-quality “reels” and “stories” of lessons, PAC events, as well as home run highlights.
  • Engagement: Manage the weekly content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Spotlight Features: Conduct “Player of the Week” interviews and coach spotlights to build community.

2. Marketing & Outreach

  • Email Campaigns: Assist in drafting weekly updates to our 500+ member databases.
  • Grassroots Marketing: Coordinate with local Little Leagues and schools to promote our upcoming clinics and camps.
  • Design: Create digital flyers and graphics using tools like Canva.

3. Event Management

  • Registration: Sign in campers and rental clients
  • Event Logistics: Set up and breakdown for events. Follow event pre and post check lists.

4. Sales & Front Desk Operations

  • Lead Follow-up: Reach out to prospective members who have expressed interest in lessons or cage rentals.
  • Customer Service: Act as a brand ambassador, greeting families and assisting with membership sign-ups and retail (merchandise) sales.

Qualifications

  • Current Student: Pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • The “Sports Brain”: A solid understanding of athletics
  • Tech Savvy: Background with major social media platforms.
  • Hustle Mentality: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Availability: Willingness to work evening and weekend shifts (when the facility is most active).

Perks & Benefits

  • Networking: Direct access to college recruiters and professional coaches.
  • Facility Access: Free use of cages and training equipment during off-peak hours.
  • Swag: Official PAC team gear.
  • Earn Extra $$: with opportunities to work clinics, camps and events..

Note to Applicant: We value personality as much as a GPA. If you are passionate about the “business of event planning” and aren’t afraid to jump in where needed, this position is perfect for you regardless of your major.
