Full time and Part time availability

  • Assist in preparation, delivery and pickup of event rental equipment as needed.
  • Pull and load tent and event inventory with Warehouse staff. Verify load with rental paperwork.
  • Secure load for safety. Help load tools and operation equipment.
  • Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
  • Be aware of weather conditions at job site and dress in appropriate Mahaffey uniform.
  • Assemble various tents per manufacturer, company, safety policy and procedures.
  • Assist with the delivery of all event rental items.
  • Coordinate with Lead Field Technician to set up all components per client specification and CAD diagram.
  • Assist in ensuring the proper anchoring and security of structures.
  • Load truck properly at job site.
  • Repair minor tears, etc, on site or tag for repair. Report repairs to Lead Field Technician.
  • Work with Warehouse staff to unload truck properly and return items to inventory.
  • Learn specifics and applications of rental inventory, so you can answer questions upon delivery.
  • Communicate any problems with a supervisor.
  • Fill in for other positions, as necessary, for smooth operation of business.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
  • Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to lift at least 70lbs.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a physical.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance with a clean Mahaffey uniform.
  • Must pass company drug screens both pre-employment and random.
  • Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Must have full range of motion and dexterity.
  • Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form.
  • Maintain a co-operative working relationship with co-workers.
  • Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems.
  • Must possess basic customer relation skills.
  • Must be willing to listen and learn

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Must stand for an extended periods. Work will be done both indoors and outdoors. This job requires constant interaction with co-workers and with the public. This position requires frequent lifting and a significant degree of walking, bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions. May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents. Propane is an obvious hazard, therefore a sense of smell is required.
