CNC Programmer

Job Title: CNC Programmer

Pay: $25/hour

Location: Monroe North Carolina

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs to produce precision parts while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, G-code programming, and technical problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Programming:

Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and CAM software.
Develop programs for multi-axis CNC machines, ensuring efficient toolpaths and production processes.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.

Setup and Troubleshooting:

Collaborate with machinists to set up CNC machines and verify programs.
Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues to ensure accurate machining.
Adjust and refine programs to improve efficiency and minimize waste.

Quality Assurance:

Perform first-article inspections and verify parts meet specifications.
Monitor machining processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to tolerances.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:

Work closely with engineers, production teams, and operators to develop efficient machining strategies.
Suggest and implement process improvements for productivity and quality.
Maintain and update program libraries and documentation.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
Experience with multi-axis machines (e.g., 3-axis, 5-axis) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
