Lieutenant General Reynold Hoover (Thirty Minute Mentors)

Lieutenant General Reynold Hoover spent 35 years in the United States Military before retiring as the deputy commander of the US Northern Command, the military command responsible for protecting the air, land, and sea surrounding the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, and The Bahamas. General Hoover has also served in the White House as chief of staff of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). In this audio-only course, adapted from the Thirty Minute Mentors podcast, General Hoover joins leadership expert Adam Mendler to share his insights on professional excellence in a high-pressure, high-stakes role. The two speak at length about principles of effective leadership, lessons learned from General Hoover’s ascent in the Army, why a general doubled as the official US Easter bunny, and more.
