Here’s the thing — sometimes it’s way easier to reach out to people when you’re a student than it is after you graduate. Whether you’re messaging alumni on LinkedIn or Lundquist Connect, chatting with employers, or asking someone for a quick informational interview, being a student gives you a solid reason to connect. So, confidently use that intro line: “I’m a student at the University of Oregon.” Use it while it’s still yours!

2. Come to Career Fairs & Industry Bites
If you’re not sure where to start, Career Fairs and Industry Bites events are great places to see what’s out there. You can talk to recruiters and industry professionals, learn about different paths and work opportunities, or just practice having those conversations. No perfect script needed, just be curious.

3. Career Services Is Still Here for You (Even After Graduation)
We know searching for a job can be overwhelming, especially while wrapping up school. But you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. We are here to help with job search strategy, resumes, interviews, networking, whatever you’re stuck on. Mohr Career Services provides you with career support even after you graduate. You still get access to services for 6 months, so don’t feel like you’ve missed the boat.
