Insights from the Food and Beverage Industry

On Wednesday, October 23, I attended Industry Bites: Food and Beverage where I heard from three companies in the industry: Springfield Creamery, Yogi Tea, and E&J Gallo Wines.

If you missed the event, here’s what we covered:

  • Conner Tobin, business development manager at E&J Gallo Wines provided a deep dive into sales and human resources
  • Briana Buckles, global senior sustainability manager at Yogi Tea, highlighted their sustainability initiatives
  • Blake Thompson, chief innovation officer for Springfield Creamery, shared a glimpse into the world of project management within their operationsnt with a deeper understanding of careers in Finance, Banking, and Real Estate, an expanded network, and greater confidence in our future careers.

Honestly, my biggest takeaway and one of the most inspiring moments was hearing each panelist emphasize the importance of communication across their respective fields—a reminder of how essential collaboration is in this industry.

The approachable nature of the panelists and the relaxed setting made for a great environment to connect, ask questions, and learn about job opportunities directly from industry leaders.

Between engaging discussions and some seriously delicious pizza, I left feeling more confident in my passion for the food and beverage industry.

I’m looking forward to attending the next Industry Bites: The Business of Technology on November 6—I can’t wait to see what new insights await!
