On January 27, Mohr Career Services hosted three panels composed of current students, recent alumni, and recruiters to talk about internships–why they’re important, how to get them, what to expect, and how to make the most of them.

Here are some of the things the student attendees reported learning:
- My biggest takeaway from this event is that I should put my foot in the door in any way that I can in order to network and leave a good impression. It is true that everyone networks all the time and you never know who is watching.
- Start early and even if you’re not one hundred percent interested, do it so you know for sure whether you like it or not.
- Internships can help you try out many different types of careers.
